**Standard petrol  is changing to E10**

From 1st September the standard petrol grade in the UK will become E10. The introduction of E10 petrol will help reduce CO2 emissions associated with petrol vehicles.

All petrol cars manufactured after 2011 can use E10, but compatibility of older vehicles should be checked online https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-e10-petrol

Most motorcycles are also approved to use E10 petrol, but you should check compatibility just in case.

For the few vehicles that need it, E5 will continue to be available in the 'Endurance' grade.

What is E10 petrol? E10 petrol contains up to 10% renewable ethanol. To date, petrol in the UK has contained up to 5% renewable ethanol (known as E5). Which vehicles are compatible? Almost all petrol-powered vehicles on the road are compatible with E10 petrol. At present, around 95% are approved for use with E10. You can check if your car, motorbike or moped can use E10 petrol by using the government E10 compatibility checker

What to do if your vehicle is not compatible with E10 petrol? You can use the Endurance Premium Petrol E5, which contains a maximum of 5% ethanol. This is available on pumps 3 & 4.
